Does IOA need Microsoft Access to run?

Answer
No, Microsoft Access is not required to run IOA because the runtime version of Microsoft Access is included in IOA. However, it is recommended to have Microsoft Access as it allows for installation of updates. You can download updates through IOA's website without having to wait for the update to released on CD. In addition you can use Microsoft Access to create an unlimited number of reports and/or modify all existing reports. Note: Bill of materials is the only optional module.
